Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

Wow! Reading through all these posts is fun and I've had some, "Oh yeah, that, too!" moments. New sheets, not planning my life around my period ....

Here's another one: Wearing khaki whenever I want! (just tired of making sure that what I wear can camouflage a leak if necessary)

Oh yeah - and no more "Not tonight, dear" because I'm STILL bleeding, or bleeding again and no desire to have to constantly clean up the mess.

I'm so excited for all the positives I almost can't sit still. Why did I wait so long?!?!?!?

More good thoughts?!

Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

Staying at a family party longer than an hour.
wearing cute undies and not granny pants with pads in them
getting rid of the "period" panties
getting my energy back
no more cramping
no more pap smears
no more bloating
sex on my terms and not on Aunt Flo's terms

Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

No more periods that last 2 weeks or more. This summer I bled for 63 days straight. I can't wait for the fatigue to be gone, and the gushing. I want to forget all I know about which feminine products work best. I want to shop for all new panties. I want my life back!!!

Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

This post made my day!! I have 'sexy' lingerie that I can't wait to 'break out' of the back of my drawers. I even tried them on to make sure they still fit. WHEN I get the 'go ahead' from my DR after Surgery, my DH is in for the 'surprise of his life' as I break out the sexiest ones I have. I am scared to death about surgery, but excited for the 'afterwards' part. GOOD luck to all my Hyster Sisters.

I can't wait to stop peeing every 45 minutes. I'll go on a road trip and drink coffee in the car!

Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

I am enjoying this thread most of all, because I relate to most all of it
I should have known my menstrual life was gonna be horrible, because in 7th grade (early 70's) I got my period, went right through my pants and there were boys sitting behind me
for years afterward I was called KK (kotex kid)..
sad but true
heavy periods through my teens, then had my kids and still had heavy flow days, then as soon as I hit that big 50 It all went haywire!!!
yup get rid of the period panties!!!! no more pain!!!!!
no more bleeding!!!
whooo hoooo

Re: Post-op Hopes and Dreams

to wear white pants or shorts or heck anything white. I have been wearing black pants for so long it will be a real treat to not have to worry about leakage. Can't wait till Friday my trip to the castle woot woot!!!!!!!
