Finally! Surgery date!

I am so excited, I took a chance and changed GYNs today. My old one was just putting me off and not listening to me at all. I called a doctor that came highly recommended and explained that I have been bleeding heavily for MONTHS and they worked me in today.

I am going to have an endometrial biopsy on November 8th, and have a laproscopic hysterectomy on the 21st. If there are any problems when he opens me up, he'll convert to an TAH.

I am so relieved that soon my pain and overwhelming bleeding will be over. I literally have been praying for this.

Re: Finally! Surgery date!

I am so sorry you have been dealing with this, but am very glad you finally got a doctor to listen to you and to resolve this. Sometimes that is what it takes is to change doctors, and to get a new set of eyes and ears on the case.

Good luck, and hugs to you.

Re: Finally! Surgery date!

Thank you, Marestail! Last Tuesday was the straw that broke the camel's back...when my old doctor asked what I could live with, the pain or the daily bleeding. I left after my scan in tears and feeling like I was slowly dying and no one was listening. I prayed fervently for a solution and I firmly believe that this new doctor was put in my path for a reason!

Re: Finally! Surgery date!

Most definitely - things DO happen for a reason. It sounds like a good thing that you left the old doctor - what a strange thing to say to you. Makes me just shake my head in wonder. Now, though, you have a good doc and can proceed forward.

(((Hugs)))) to you....
