Hormone issues?

I've been on Estradiol for 3 years. 2mg whenever I felt the need to take it. That was after my TAH..
Now I had my ovaries removed Aug 31st and I started taking it daily but it wasn't working. My doc told me to cut them in half and put half in my privacy every night before bed. It seems to be working better, but I have started hallucinating. Not sure if its from the hormones or if I have another issue going on. Also noticed my legs are weak and my joints have started to ache. I go see the doc in a couple of weeks.

Anyone else had these issues while taking hormones?

Re: Hormone issues?

If you are hallucinating, I would not wait two weeks to talk with the doctor. That is not OK!

There are many other HRT options besides using oral estrogen in a way it was not meant to be used. There are products specifically made in dosages appropriate for vaginal use, patches, creams, gels... surely your DR could give you some samples to try. I would stop inserting the oral estradiol vaginally and call the DR's office ASAP.
