upcoming surgery

Ok I'm nervous, so I am creeping out of lurk mode to ask a few questions.
If anyone can help I would be very greatful.
I am 41 have six daughters. Over the past few years I have put on some weight maybe 40 lbs just chalked the constant exhaustion up to the extra weight. Until I bent over and felt like I got stabbed with a hot knife it literally took my breath away. I am not one to go to the doctor, but I went. I skip ahead a bit I have 4 cysts one the largest measures 12.5 x 11.3 x 8 cm
I believe they are dermoid due to composition and my mother had them also. Long story short I'm going in for exploratory surgery the 15th of Nov.
Doc already told me hysterectomy ovaries tubes uterus should come out to eliminate possibility of them reoccurring.
I am terrified of being put out. But here's my question will the exhaustion I have been experiencing for the past 2.5 years go away?

Re: upcoming surgery

HI notaclue. I too am having my TVH on Nov 15. I am with you in that the emotions are starting to run very high. I am not sleeping, not eating, fretting, and reading, reading, reading!!! NOT that I take everything I read to heart, but sometimes its hard to hear what some people are going thru and I wonder if I will too. It is perfectly normal to be 'stressed'. I need a friend about now who will experience this same time as me.
