Liverpool50 - My GYN said that my fibroids are equivalent to a six month pregnancy! 9-10cm & 6cm. That is why we feel pregnant.

Re: Adeno, Endo, Fibroids...Bloat?

I had Adenomyosis and had a very swollen uterus.... always felt bloated.
I could not even lay on my tummy because it felt like a huge rock in there.

I am now 7 days past DVH and still have bloating but I can now lay on my tummy and do not have that rock feeling.

I know everyone is different but for me it has been wonderful feeling like me once again and not living so much in pain...

Good luck on your upcoming surgery.... Hugs....

Luv2Him....AWESOME! It does feel like a rock sitting in your pelvis, and I'm SO hoping that the heavy feeling is gone post-operatively.

I'm hoping to get my surgery date next week and then I'll be counting down the days....until it gets close then I will be super nervous! I just love reading about other women who have had similar issues feeling so much better after their hysterectomies. Gives me hope!

Re: Adeno, Endo, Fibroids...Bloat?

Luv2Hum - Thanks for the well wishes! 2 days to surgery.
So glad you seem to be recovering quickly.
Looking forward to not feeling the "huge rock"!
Still deciding whether to keep cervix, if possible? Frightened by the stories of bladder issues after cervix removal. I suppose it will be decided by surgeon during surgery as depends on what is really in my abdominal cavity? I feel very lucky that i am having DeVinci surgery.
Hugs to everyone!!

Re: Adeno, Endo, Fibroids...Bloat?

I get that bloat too. Having it now.

I figured at this point I would focus on dealing with the fibroid issue and if I continue to have problems after that's resolved then I will pursue answers. It seems that fibroids and other gyn problems can radiate outward into so many other body parts that there is no telling what will get better.
