Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I'm at work trying to finish up last minute things.. Surgery is this Friday. I just got hit with a bunch of pain! Looks like my uterus, the adeno, fibroids, cysts and everything else isn't going out without a fight!
I'm very nervous about the surgery, but cant wait to be done with pain and countless pills. I hate my uterus with a passion.. and based on all this pain, I guess the feeling is mutual...

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I could have sworn my pain doubled once I scheduled my hyster. I think the giant fibroid was fighting back! Lol. I think I've won though. 9 days post op and starting to feel alive again.

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I think our bodies play tricks on us. I have NOT had any pain with my issues, but as of yesterday I have had 'abdominal pain'. I think its nerves, and hoping its not an infection. I go see the surgeon Tues, so will find out then. HOPEFULLY just nerves, if infection, could jeopardize surgery. Glad to hear your surgery went well ALYESKA, and good luck to you Jalisa.

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I think part of it is we are really good about ignoring pains and once I found out there was a problem I stopped ignoring all those different pains so it seemed worse.

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I have a month to go and I went to walk with my BFF the other night and got hit with pain like that. The Wicked Witch of the South (aka Aunt Flo) is fixing to rear her ugly head in a couple of days and I can already tell it's gonna be a rough one. I feel your pain and will be thinking of you later this week. Best of luck to you!

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

Psychosomatic? I, too, have had more pain recently, especially my lower back. I suspect I'm more stresses than I feel and it's hitting me physically.

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

Good luck on Friday! I am having mine on Nov 7, and the last few days I feel like Auntie Flo is going to have to rear her ugly head one last time before then. The lower back pain is kicking in and making it hard to sleep and my breasts are getting sore, along with some mild cramping..so of course she has to get that one last jab in doesn't she?

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I think I tried to ignore a lot of my pain. My husband says that for the last year all I've done is complain about how something hurts or how tired I am. Maybe I'm just noticing it more.

I may be ovulating today. I feel like my uterus is trying to drag on the ground. Lots of low side pain. Chronic back pain. Stabbing pains in lower abs. Feel groggy and yucky despite the iron.

I think its sort of like at the end of the school year kids can't wait for summer to start. Everything seems to creep and everything goes wrong.

Re: Ouchhhhhhhh!!

I felt lots of pain and bloating just before surgery, too. I attributed it to the stress of surgery, plus I think I was focusing more on my body and how it was feeling.

Sending for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
