Back from the castle

Hi, all,

Wanted to let you know that I'm back from my castle visit. Not sitting up much at this point, so will keep this brief.

If it hadn't been for this site, I would have been so uninformed and in-the-dark - - - the nurses and staff were not much help - - too overworked and understaffed. I kept telling my friends what was going on and what I'd need, and they kept asking me, Where did you get all this information?

From the Hyster Sisters Site! I'd answer.

I'd printed out some things from the site for them to read while I was in O.R. and they loved it.

I was so well-prepared, thanks to you ladies. Nothing really stymied me (well, almost nothing) because I'd read so many stories and had become familiar with the process. It's easier to face the known than the unknown.

Am feeling OK - - still weak and in pain, but did everything right: got up and walked, ate right, understood what was going on and knew what I needed to do - - thanks to Hyster Sisters!

Had a little problem post-op but survived. Thank God for my friends. They saw me through this.

Am recovering at friends' house before going home alone. I highly recommend this for single women!! It's not just the physical help but the emotional support and company that is SO important.

BTW - Dr. seems to have found more adhesions than endometriosis in there. No wonder it hurt so much. She said a lot of things were sticking together.
