Re: weight gain or loss following hysterectomy

I'm 20 weeks post op and lost 17 pounds. To my benefit my appetite after the surgery has diminished. I feel great! I would do it all over again!

Re: weight gain or loss following hysterectomy

I'm down around 9 lbs from my surgery almost a year ago. I would say approx 2 lbs of it was my huge fibroids. I think my weight loss is hormone related. My estrogen was super high before my surgery and now with HRT, things are much more normal for my age. I'm not having cravings anymore (used to crave chocolate and sweets ALL the time) and sometimes I lack an appetite. I'm thin, so I have to make sure I don't skip meals and sometimes I do force myself to eat, just so I don't loose anymore weight. I do have to say, life has been so much better since my surgery. It hasn't been perfect, but I feel so much healthier

Best wishes!!
