Help Getting a little nervous

I am having a hysterectomy on Mon 7th and I am really starting to get freaked out a little bit. I am 35 and have always had issues with my periods since I was 12 yrs old I have more recent started to experience that it is almost impossible to function daily while I am on my period. I have a history of Blood Clots from Birth control pills so I think that this is the last option. I am really worried about what my body is going to be like afterward? will I still feel like a women? will my husband still want me? what changes will my body go thru? Anyone want to toss some thoughts my way I would be more then happy to hear them. I am hoping that this site will help me out now before and after the process..

Re: Help Getting a little nervous

I so remember how I felt before surgery.

It's the worst part, I promise.

My hysterversary is on 11/09 and it's been two years. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

I'm on Vivelle dot and have a new lease on life.

It was very worth it!!! Hang it there.
