Just as an FYI, fibroids can grow from the cervix post partial/supracervical hysterectomy. We have members (and a hostess) dealing with this issue.

Hi Chrissie!

I had my cervix removed and it was a personal choice, recommended by my specialist. I too have endo, and one lesion tended to reappear in the cervical region, so it made sense to remove it. As well, as was mentioned, keeping the cervix can put you at risk for mini-periods after a hyst, and as someone who had suffered with painful periods for far too long, no way was I taking that chance. (And it's nice to know I'm not at risk of cervical cancer now, either.) I don't regret it one bit.
