Pre-Op done today...unexpected info?

Well, I just returned home from the hospital where I had to do all the Pre-Op stuff. Must admit, I'm getting nervous. I'm at peace with my decision but am now worrying what awaits me on the othersied lol.
My Pre-Op papers had the typical CYA stuff...however, one thing stood out more than the rest. It says that possible abdomen incision instead of lapo (which is typical cya) but it said specifically, possible right ovary removal. My doctor hasnt actually discussed this directly with me. I'm not suprised about the possibility since blood flow was not found on the latest ultrasound, and a ruptured cyst in 1996 left it's "mark". Just wondering if anyone else had the same type "unexpected" on their pre-op visit. And should I call the doctor, who I've already spoken to twice since scheduling the LASH, or should I just talk with him the morning of the surgery since I'm not objecting to the possible removal.

Thanks everyone! :-)

Re: Pre-Op done today...unexpected info?

If it says "possible", and if you don't object to it happening if necessary, and if your DR has already discussed it with you, then why would you need to call? What would be the purpose?

I did not have anything show up on my consent papers for my hysterectomy, but once when I was having what I considered a lumpectomy (albeit a rather large one) I freaked out a bit when I got to the staging area for surgery and the consent papers I had to sign said "partial mastectomy". The "M" word was not one my DR and I had ever uttered between us and I insisted on talking with him about exactly what he meant by that before signing the papers, which I eventually did.

Good luck with your surgery!
