I did too. Tried not to but found myself at my computer at 5am, moments before leaving for surgery. My Dad always left a "just in case" letter pre-vacations or surgeries. Though he usually tore them up when not needed (thank goodness) sometimes he didn't and to read them later was sometimes kind of funny. I used the same approach in my letter to the family. Thank goodness that one wasn't needed either.

No, but I do always take my living will and my will just in case. I am all about going to any length to save my life if necessary. And I have dread locks so I reminded my family not to forget to put a flower in my hair
