Surgery tomorrow at noon

I should probably be embarrassed by how trivial this is, but I was told to do the clear liquids today, NOTHING after midnight and an enema today. I am so hungry! Maybe it is just know that I can't eat, but I am starving!

And so far, that is the worst of it. I had to take an anxiety pill last night to sleep. And probably will tonight. But I feel pretty calm. No worries of dying (I looked up death rate from robotic hysterectomy and it is something like 1 in 600.000). My mom is here and will "fill in" for me while I recover. My kids are old enough to be ok with it, and my husband is ok too.

I just feel like there is something I am overlooking. I should be worried, scared, sad, something! Right? After all - I AM a worrier! This is my first surgery ever. Am I really happy with the thought of no more cramps, clots, and days that I can't leave the house!

Am I missing something, or are my Prozac and Wellbutrin doing a good job?

Prayers to all the Princesses! See you in Post-Op

Re: Surgery tomorrow at noon

Sounds like you are prepared. You've probably already done all your worrying and being scared and all.

I recommend chicken broth - its surprisingly filling for being a clear liquid. Some one else said that Jello is considered a "clear liquid", but, it doesnt do much for me as far as filling me up.

I'm having the same procedure and I'm anxious to hear all about your surgery when you're up to it.

Wishing you all the best!

Re: Surgery tomorrow at noon

lol, it is so like a strong woman to worry about worrying! I'm sure you're ready, get a good night sleep. I fill up on jello and broth pre-surgery. I do have to drink apple juice to keep my blood sugars up. Lots of luck tomorrow. ((hugs))
