Re: Pre-op thoughts on post-op pampering

Hey Ebey,

Going in tomorrow and have a few final things to take care of, so of course, I'm here. LOL

Shopping is done, vacuumed yesterday and set the sofa up on blocks so I don't have to sit 'down' too far and not be able to get back up. (The cats think it's cool they can get under it now) Side table is ready and I gave everything a test drive last night. Husband came home and (bless his heart) was upset I had done all this work without his help. I had to remind him I'm not an invalid yet!

I'm so excited for you, McLila! Wednesday is my first day off (bowel prep, gatorade and gelatin, oh my!), and on Thursday my uterus and I bid adieu.

Re: Pre-op thoughts on post-op pampering

I'm getting my knitting projects ready (a friend said she wanted to see the projects I do on pain meds). Trying to find a housecleaner so my husband doesn't have to do everything... and then maybe we'll get so used to them we can keep them! Ordering books on CD from the library. Once I start feeling better, I'm going to set up a website to sell my handwoven shawls and electronic devices cozies (for iPads, tablets, etc.).
When can I get a massage?
And how am I going to keep our cat Dickens from "kneeding" me so much. He loves me and is lonely since our other cat, Oliver, ran away, but my belly is going to be off limits to him... at least for a while.
Oh, and did I mention, we're going to adopt a kitten around week 5 of my recovery so Dickens will have someone to play with when I go back to work.
