Re: how do you know if you torn your cuff?

I bled after my hysterectomy due to sex.

There was granulation on my vaginal cuff, so after the doctor examined me he put restrictions on sex and scheduled a date for the operating room.

Re: how do you know if you torn your cuff?

Its it normal to have a lot of pressure when I sit? its the worse.... I can't wait till tomorrow. only about 5 more hours till we need to be up and out the door with the kids. AWW I have so many feelings right now, scared, thankful that I have such a great doctor, mad that this happend. I am worried that I might need surgery. ( do many people that have tears have to have surgery?)

Good luck! I will be thinking of you. I sure hope you weren't driving but had someone to drive you after you dropped off DH. Best wishes.

There is a tear, but its not that bad he said, he put me on restrictions for 4 more weeks and Estrace cream for 2 weeks. I am in so much pain. It seems the cream that he put in just made it worse.

I am so glad that you went in.
The doctor checked, and it doesn't sound that bad.
This is good news.
The bad news is that you are still in pain.
Make sure to take something like Advil or Vicodin for it.

Check with your doctor.
Rest is important.
This is a "wake up" call for you to take it easy.
Call in help if need be.
Is your mother or MIL available? A sister or brother that can help?

Nope I have no family members that are willing to help. I took some pain meds. and I am feeling good. I cleaned up a little, changed the sheets, vaccumed ate dinner at my parents and got stuck cleaning up the huge mess. did a load of laundry. but now I am gonna try to lay dow and sleep.

Re: how do you know if you torn your cuff?

Diana, after tearing your cuff and spending Friday night bleeding and in pain, why are continuing to do these things? You need to rest and give yourself time to recover. It's not easy with a toddler but you need to take care of yourself. Not following doctor's orders could have long-term implications for you.

You have a torn cuff and you are continuing to do things that could tear it even more? Really?
I understand that you have to take care of your child but you don't HAVE to clean/do laundry. You have a husband.
Tell him that either he needs to do it or he needs to hire someone to do it for you for another month (or until your doctor tells you specifically that it's ok to do housework like that.)

You want your child to have a mommy, please don't jeopardize your health/life.
