Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis

Hi everyone,
Has anyone else dealt with Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis? It is a rotten inflammatory condition. I had the misfortune of developing it 2 years ago. At the exact same time I developed a vitamin d and thyroid deficiency.

I got lousy medical care from my doctor (since 2003), and from the allergist she referred me too. I did get a referral to the gynecologist who is now helping me so something good came out of it.

I switched doctors 2 months ago to help me with the vitamin D deficiency and the thyroid as they I still suffered from out of control symptoms from both of those problems after 1 year of being under the care of my previous doctor. It's amazing how much better I got once I went to a different doctor and on the first visit she looked at my labs, listened to me say my symptoms, and doubled my thyroid medicine. I'm not comotose from fatigue for the first time in over a year.

I have a preoperative scan of my abdomen on Monday, and I will have surgery scheduled outpatient shortly after that. I'm getting and Oopharectomy and a hysterectomy. I'm going to be unable to take progesterone as I'm reactive to it.

I've been on prednisone for the inflammation for a whole year. I look like a frog and feel like roadkill. The new doctor says I'll be fine once I get off the prednisone. I can't wait to get better.

The only treatments for APD are Tamoxifen, prednisone, and oopharectomy. I'm so grateful help is on the way. I'm really really sick. I cannot wait for surgery.

Autoimmune Progesterone Dermatitis

I'm getting a complete oopharectomy/hysterectomy next Tuesday, the 29th of November. I have autoimmune progesterone dermatitis, or autoimmune progesterone hystamine response.

I've been so sick. I'm so glad to be getting surgery as this will cure the inflammation and illness that has seriously hurt my life. Anyone else on the board had Autoimmune progesterone issue?
