atypical cells vs precancerous?
Hi, I am pre- op and was wondering - are pre-cancerous cells and atypical cells the same thing. I've had two precancerous endrometrial biopsies but have seen other post about the other and was wondering.

Hello and welcome!! If you go to the top posts, you will see "Helpful Links & Trish's Pathology Dictionary" You will find a lot of info there that will help you!
Atypical means that there is a change going on and yet doesn't necessarily mean cancer.
Precancerous means that it is not cancer yet, but very well could be if left unattended.

YES, DO GO TO THE PATHOLOGY DICTIONARY.
CYD IS RIGHT IT'S REALLY INFORMATIVE. I GOT ALOT OF MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED THERE.
I ONLY KNOW THAT PRE CANCEROUS MEANS ( NOT YET BUT COULD TURN INTO )
