Shower in hospital

In 8 days I'll have a DaVinci LAVH/BSO. Dr said 2 nights in hospital and at some point I take a shower.

Will they expect me to wash my hair? Big production and I think I would rather not... but I am used to washing it every day. Hair is shoulder length and thick. Planning to bring a shower cap.

Also will bring flip flops because I have had toenail fungus in the past...Probably from my gym which is VERY clean.

Re: Shower in hospital

You won't have to wash your hair if you don't want to -- at least I was not required to perform that function.

I have had my hair washed in my hospital room. A hospital aide came in and did a very nice job. It felt good to have fresh, clean hair and I felt incredibly pampered.

Re: Shower in hospital

My experience with hospitals has been that they expect you to shower but it's your choice about the washing of hair; obviously hospitals vary but I'd think you would be able to use a shower cap and wait till you get home to wash your hair and just wash the rest of you while in hospital. Hope it all works out well
