Concerned about HRT

I just had a total hysterectomey 2 Nov. Was immediately put on Estradiol Patch .5 mg. There is so much I've read about HRT that it freaks me out. Any advice??,

I wish I had an easy answer for you. I too was/am freaked out about the possible side effects of my HRT. At least for me, the possible outcomes WITHOUT estrogen in my body scare me more. I am only 34 and my doctor and I agreed that having a lose dose of estrogen was best. My thought process is that at my age, my body would have naturally been producing estrogen anyways. Now, that being said, if I get to a normal menopausal age and my quality of life declines without it, I will continue to take it.

I think ultimately it is a very personal decision. You have to understand the risks and benefits and then make your decision.
