Concerned about out of network charges

Surgeon is out of network and I am ok with that.

Hospital is in network and I have been told all anesthesiologists will be as well.

I just don't want other doctors popping up who are out of network and might charge me more than reasonable and customary (which my ins plan will cover)

I'm reading here about assistant surgeon...never occured to me there might be one. I'm having DaVinci LAVH/BSO.

Might there be other random drs who might look at me and charge me?

Surgery is Mon...ssurgeon's secretary is supposed to call me this week to finalize everything. I guess I can ask her about this

Re: Concerned about out of network charges

I would asked the surgeon who will be assisting him/her. The bills I'm currently receiving are from the assistant surgeon right on down to the pathologist. All in network.

why did you chose an out of network Surgeon?
