Re: confused by the information here

I had a TVH in July and I took 8 weeks off work. I spent the entire first week in bed. I couldn't even sit to eat dinner at day 3, let alone go to work. I'm surprised your doctor said that may be enough time off. This is major surgery and it takes time to recover.

I had a Dvh woth my doc saying 2-3 weeks. It was 2 1/2 weeks and I was just exhausted. I would collapse after work. It was way too soon and I ended up in the hospital because I pushed. You really want to take that time to heal.

Re: confused by the information here

Lynn, I am scheduled for a D and C also . I was a hysterectomy but it was a error in the paper work . I know I know . lol. Anyway, I hope it all goes well for you . I am a bit concerned about time off too . I have 12 weeks in my reserve and I took 4 to 6 of them thinking the hysterectomy would be . But now its down to 2 weeks because I have to lift 50 pounds and be on my feet long hours and push and pull . I would much rather have a hysterectomy but my insurance wont approve until I go through the other procedures. I have a hard time with coworkers too . I just did . But , dont let them tell you anything . Let it be up to you and your doctor. I wish you well. Prayers
