Hi, Alexa!
Please don't feel like you're making too big a deal of this. This is your body and your future and you need to be in as good a state of health as you can. I don't think anyone would downplay the significance of this, but I don't want you to panic either.
As far as my history, well, I had been having problems with a chronic vaginal tear. Same place time after time. It got to the point that I dreaded any intimacy with DH

because I knew it would tear again. I asked my doc about it time and again and he said we could go in and repair it. We tried all kinds of fix-its first, and I even asked about vaginal cancer once, and he said not to worry about that because it's so rare. Anyway, when my PAP came back and we decided to do the LEEP and D&C, I decided to have him do the repair. The pathology from the area of the tear came back as CIS. He was very surprised. I was shocked. After a consultation with the gyn/onc it was decided that when my TAH was done they should remove more of my vaginal wall. The pathology on that came back as mild VaIN all the way to the margins. I've had 2 PAPs now since the TAH and he always samples at the vaginal cuff and in the area of the tear. So far they've come back normal. I go back again in February and I'm hoping to set up a plan so we get all areas checked on a rotational basis. In the meantime, I'm taking care of myself the best I can.
I don't anyone who has used FU-5, but I've read a little about it. My understanding is that compliance is not good with that particular regimen because it gets to be very uncomfortable during the course of treatment. It's hard to do uncomfortable things to yourself in an area so personal as that. That would be a good questioning line when you go to your next appt so you have accurate information about that particular treatment.
Good luck, Alexa! Feel free to email or PM me at anytime if I can be of help to you.
