Packing Tomorrow for the Castle

Started putting together items to take to hospital & another group of items to have close by when I get back home. Hints from others have really helped since I was clueless! Phone, charger, lip balm, lozenges ready for trip. Stool softeners, GasX, Tylenol, loose sweats @ tshirts ready for home. Truly can't wait to start the journey towards a better quality of life. I'll be at the hospital bright & early Monday morning!

add eyedrops and your nicest silk robe to the list. And if you're a coffee drinker, Starbucks Via is the way to go... the nurses will bring you hot water... mmmmmm lovely.

Good luck with your surgery on Monday! Wishing you all the best. How about some magazines?? I haven't even gathered anything together yet, my surgery is on 12/1. I guess I better start thinking about it! Again, good luck!!

Re: Packing Tomorrow for the Castle

I am having mine the same day. I am leaving at 1pm to drive three hours to the city where I will stay with my sister and go in Monday am. I am all packed too. My husband is going to stay overnight in my room with me and even says he is going to scrub the floors when we get home to be close to me.

Personally, I was happy to have only the hospital gown. I had a post op cath and there was some trouble with one of my IVs so there was blood and fluid on most of the linens and the gown.

I agree. I intend to use the hospital's gowns and linens. No sense getting mine soiled or blood stained. I really don't think I will bring much for a one night stay. Just myself!!
