Bubbles in urine

I just had my hyst. (LAVH with removal of ovary & tube on one side only) about 2 weeks ago, and I just started noticing several days ago that I have these bubbles floating on the surface of the toilet water after I urinate. I'm still experiencing pressure and some other slightly uncomfortable feelings in my bladder when I urinate, but the doctor's office did do a urinalysis, and I don't have an infection. I'm a little concerned that the bubbles could possibly be the first sign of a vesicovaginal fistula from the hyst., but I'm also wondering if I'm overreacting and just experiencing air still caught in the bladder from when the catheter was in there, and if the uncomfortable feelings are just from healing in the area. I did notice after I was home for just a day or two, when I was finishing urinating one time, a little air came out of my urethra at the end that sounded a little like passing gas. Has anyone else had this happen, and what did it turn out to be?

Oh wow, you JUST had your surgery! I hope you're doing well! Have you by chance mentioned this to your doctor yet? I'm not due to see mine again for several more weeks.

Re: Bubbles in urine

I mentioned it to my nurse at the castle and she said it was thee CO2 escaping and any air that got up there when they placed the catheter. I just got home from the er because they thought I had a kidney infection but everything came out fine. i did mention this as well and they said the dame thing as the nurse.
