Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

Wishing you all a wonderful recovery. I am just over 3 weeks out of a TAH and I think the most important thing I learned from this whole experience, make sure you write down when you take your medication as I was so forgetful and couldn't remember if I took it or not and was afraid to take too much so I was suffering....write it down, there will be no doubt! Also bring chapstick to the castle..you will need it. It will be okay. Put your faith in your doctors and take care of yourselves. The first few days I was thinking what have I done...now I am so grateful i had it done! Hang in there princesses it will get better!

Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

Thanks for the tips! I went out and splurged on some chapstick from Bath&Body Works last night....I remember how dry my lips were after my last procedure! How are you feeling, 3 weeks out?

Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

Feeling great. Still an occasional twinge here or there, my biggest set back from the beginning was the gas pains. be ready for those! I went in for LAVH and came out full abdominal so I had the worst gas pains. Lots of water, walk as much as tolerated and have some milk of mag or similar on hand. My biggest issue now is I tire easily. By 7 pm I am ready for bed, but i have been out a lot the last week, actually went deer hunting and got my first buck of the season on Sunday I was second guessing my decision the first week and now I am so excited...no horrid cramps no bleeding like a stuck hog and no migraines! I kept one ovary but still the shock of surgery I had horrible hot flashes and sweats but after a good week or so, the ovary started working again. Best of luck to you. Hope things go smoothly for you!
