Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

Kind of a heart-pounder to see my name on the list. I've been so focused on the surgery itself I've hardly given the process much thought so far, but I guess I better figure out what I really need to take to the hospital!

Curious to know whats on everyone's list... I'm packing light. Chapstick and lotion, change of clothes, toiletries, and that's about it. I went to pick up a magazine or two but there was nothing that grabbed my eye unfortunately! If I'm up for reading, I guess it'll be on my iPhone...

Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

I finally started looking around here and thinking about it today. Here's my list so far:

Chapstick
Phone
Charger
Insurance card
Driver's license
Magnesium tablets
Kindle
Change of underpants
Throat lozenges
Glasses
Tooth brush
Tooth paste

I have super long hair, so I'm just going to braid it tightly before I go.

Also, I'm a singer and worried about the intubation - both the size of it and the care the anesthesiologist takes in inserting it and removing it, so I plan to leave him a note. On my forehead.

Re: Best Wishes to our November 23 Princesses

My Docs had me do light walking in halls, and a bathrobe sure helps to cover the butt crack while in the sexy hospital gowns
I also brought my own pillow from home....would have had a major headache without it...my husband asked first to make sure it was ok and brought it to me when I got out of recovery.

Ooh yes, phone charger! Thanks for the reminder! I was very worried about sore throat last time I was intubated. The doctor looked at me and said "I'm VERY good at what I do." The intubation discomfort was minimal and pretty much gone within a few short hours.
