Post op 12 days...Things I think you might want!

Ahhhh body pillows are a must! Especially for those of us that have dh's that sleep restless sometimes, and arms and elbows and knees start flying. At 9 days post op, I wouldn't get caught sleeping without mine, and dh in the same bed The only thing I can add is a shower stool for once you are home. My dh bought one for me shortly after my castle trip and it has turned out to be a godsend. No worrying about getting dizzy from standing up in the shower for 30 plus mins. Not to mention that the shower stool helps when my back starts aching. Just plop it into the tub floor, turn on the shower, and ahhhhh insta massage

you are so right at what to have. I have a bit of advice for those who either can not affford a binder or those who are large ( I fall into both categories)
I asked my Dr, if I folded a sheet, lengthwise 2 times, then wraped in around, tightly, if it would work. He said it is the same, as long as it is tight.
I am 8 days post op. I have a vertical incision, due to previous hernia scars. I had a tah including cervix removed. They found 2 tumors, one grapefruit size, one a little bit bigger than a golfball.

I am in pain, because I have a cold now, & sneezing & coughing post op caused me to pull a muscle. (OUCH) He also said my incision is infected. So antibiotics were ordered & better pain pills.
I sure hope I get sleep soon.

Thanks for listening. I had to say it to someone. This site is great. Whoever started it, thanks

Cheryl, feel free to unload on us ANYTIME you feel like it - that's what we're all here for!

My husband is sick with a bad cold and I live in fear of catching it as sneezing is not a really comfortable thing for me yet! Hope you feel better soon!
