Re: Nervous

Tigerlily, my LSH is on 12/1 and I was getting so nervous and anxious that I couldn't sleep at night. I had a pretty crazy week with my Mom getting sick so that took my mind off of the surgery. But I would try to keep busy maybe with housework or watching tv. I have a list of all the things I need to get done by 12/1 and that freaks me out. I feel that I am not as nervous as I was before. The waiting is the hardest part but just try to keep yourself busy on other things. I wish you all the best with your surgery!! See you on the other side soon!!

Re: Nervous

Thanks to everyone and their suggestions. I hope this week passes quickly and by this time next Saturday I will be home and it will be over. Best wishes that all goes well with the other Princesses in waiting.

Re: Nervous

My H day is Wednesday. I keep thinking "in 72 hours it will be almost time. In 90 hours I will be out of surgery. In a week I will be back at home, hopefully." So close...nervewracking.

Re: Nervous

I just want to say that I am 4 days post op and I promise you that it isn't so bad! Initially before my surgery I just told myself that I wasn't going to allow myself to worry until 24 hours ahead of time. Then the night before surgery I did not sleep a wink but I told myself that was normal and okay. I did not put any pressure on myself to feel that I had to sleep and I knew I'd be getting a nap as soon as the anesthesia kicked in

I just found that the easiest way to relax was by not putting any pressure or expectations on myself. Good luck!
