Dizziness when lying down

I am two days post op from my lsh and last night the room would spin when I would initially lay down. What could be causing this?

Re: Dizziness when lying down

It could be a number of things. It could be some left over effects from the anesthesia or it could be an inner ear issue or even something else. Anesthesia makes me very nauseous and the room spins like crazy afterwards. I was given some meds to deal with it and although it took three tries to find one that worked, once it kicked in, the dizziness was gone in10 minutes. I also have an inner ear thing that causes me to feel nauseous if I lie totally flat. I always have to have 2 pillows under my head. I had no idea it was a condition until my dentist said you probably have BPPV. When I looked it up, it described perfectly what I experience. Please talk to your doctor about this and see what he or she has to say.
