Ovarian cyst after TVH

Yesterday I went to the ER for extreme pelvic pain, I thought it was a post surgical complication, and found out it was 6cm cyst on my right ovary. I was told that it might rupture within 2-3 days. I was sent home with instructions to follow up with my DR, I have an appointment on this tuesday. When I arrived home the pain was really bad for about 2 hours and then stopped. I got up this morning with a little discomfort, but it vanished shortly there after. I think all the poking around they did in the ER caused it to rupture soon after I got home. What I want to know is how common is it to develop cystic ovaries after a hysterectomy, and how dangerous is it for it to rupture, versus it being drained surgicaly? I'm not in any pain what so ever, nor am I running a fever, I just want to get as much information as possible about this

Sorry to hear that this happened to you.

I don't know that cystic ovaries are anymore common after sirgery tham they are before. You can call your Dr to ask about issues if the cyst did rupture.

that all goes well.
