I wish I could sleep I don't know why I'm so nervous about this surgery.

Me too! I don't sleep well anyways because of my medication but now it's worse. I think I am more nervous about waking up after than anything else

Re: Best Wishes to our December 08 Princesses

Misty my thoughts exactly! I seem to have been somewhat unconsciously preparing for "not "waking up....my husband told me I was freaking him out. I've been getting the house in order beyond the point of comfort for recovery and have made arrangements for my work duties and making sure that if something happens there will be at least a path for anyone to come in and follow in for my responsibilities.

At pre-op yesterday the nurse asked me about any religious preferences/wishes and I told her just make sure I don't meet God yet!

Re: Best Wishes to our December 08 Princesses

I tried to get my house in order but everyone keeps messing it up. When I had my lap surgery waking up was brutal, I don't even remember coming home. At least I get to stay this time. I think my biggest fear is having something else nicked. Even though my gyno is amazing. It's my anxiety.

Re: Best Wishes to our December 08 Princesses

Does any one have their time yet? I don't and it's driving me crazy. My husband is in the middle of some important exams and I won't know until tomorrow night if he can take me.

Re: Best Wishes to our December 08 Princesses

I will be thinking of you Thursday and hoping for steady and precise hands for both our surgeons! I have trouble with waking up after anesthesia too so am always at a least 1 night stay but this surgery has a 3 nights stay planned. Also, I am having an epidural with this surgery, the anesthesiologist said it is easier to recover from afterward so my fingers are crossed.

Make sure you post in here or message me after you wake up and I'll do the same. My surgery is scheduled for noon MST.

Re: Best Wishes to our December 08 Princesses

I will! So with the epidural are you still put out? I had one in aug for my knee surgery but I was awake...I don't think I would get another one, my ligaments (?) are close together and tough, it's hard for them to get the needle in and it really hurts
