Yep. Must be all part of the healing. I have felt like I have periodic menstural cramps like you described. At least we know we are not alone :-)

I am 8 weeks post op and still feeling the twinges, aches and pinches but they seem less and less as time clicks on. I am banking on the fact that a couple months from now I will have even less :-)

I still get the pinching feeling every so often and I am at 10 weeks. It is getting noticeably better though.

Re: No Cervix - Do You Feel 'Twinges' or 'Pinches'?

I'm 9 days post-op and I get this, sometimes quite painful. After reading all these posts, I guess its something thats meant to happen and will ease up over time. I've also had what feels like contractions, and my abdomen really tightens up for a minute then relaxes. Anyone else feel this??

I'm also five weeks and feel it too. Feels like I still have stitches or something. Keep waiting for that to go away. Had bladder sling as well and having issues with retention. Arrgghhh.

I got a LOT of that, about as far as week 8 or even 9.

It felt really odd to me, because I'm 62 and I went through the menopause at 45!
It was like I was having periods all over again, but without a drop of blood.

Weird bodies! What's actually going on in there? I'd love to have had an ultrasound picture every now and then!

Re: No Cervix - Do You Feel 'Twinges' or 'Pinches'?

My doc confirmed to me yesterday that these pinches, twinges, and ZOWWWWIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE! sort of pains will come and go for a while and are usually directly related to nerves regenerating, which is a GOOD thing.

He didn't give me an internal exam yesterday but poked on my belly pretty hard where the uterus was, no pain then but since then I've been getting more pokes pinches and zowies... not letting it stop me from going for a run though!
