Re: May be offensive but I need to vent!

Well, he obviously hasn't had his innards messed with. Even though technology has come a long way, we are still having major surgery along with a life changing experience. I would like to see him leaning over a patient doing surgery the next day after a major surgery himself. That makes me so mad for you. We all heal differently and we need time to adjust to what we have been through. I had 2 major surgeries 6 weeks apart. It has been almost 3 months and I am still not back to work. I am taking the time for myself to heal properly. I don't care what doc says. I will worry about the bills next year. Hope you feel better soon. Shell

Re: May be offensive but I need to vent!

I feel like venting too. I love my husband and he is taking the week off after my surgery to take care of me. But he also wants to tell me about women at work who back to work in 2weeks or 4 weeks. I hate having my recovery based on someone else and I would really like to smack him....but I won't. I am a hairdresser and my shop is in my home. I know I am lucky to work from home, but that is still a lot of standing. I plan on recovering at my own speed. Don't let anyone rush you.

Re: May be offensive but I need to vent!

I had a TVH in July. I was told I would stay overnight but ended up staying for two. I think going back to work in a couple days is ludicrous! I could hardly get out of bed for a week! I returned I work at 8 weeks and it was very difficult. I wish you the best with your surgery and recovery.
