Re: Hours away from the Castle

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Just know each week gets better. I had a TAH on nov 7 th, my surgery took under two hours. I'm not sure about DVH.

Good luck, remember you are not alone. Check in and let us know how you do.

Re: Hours away from the Castle

I had a TAH BSO (total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries) and my surgery was about 1 1/2 hours. I had no complications.

Regarding the liquid diet / bowel prep: Check your list of foods. I was able to eat soda crackers, so that gave me something to munch on. I also had clear broth chicken soup, and that was somewhat comforting. However, I was not real hungry due to nerves.

Good luck with your surgery. We will be waiting for you on the other side.

((((Hugs)))
