TAH and TT

I'm new here!!! I'm 44 yrs old and have had problems with ovarian cyst for many years. I started having really bad pain in my lower ab and lower back to the point where it was waking me up in the night and I felt like I was in labor. Went to my gyn and she did a uterine biopsy (which was very painful) and an ultra sound which showed I had uterine fibroids...so she suggested a TAH. I ask her if she would keep my ovaries...fingers crossed (sx scheduled for Jan 9 but may have to change to have both procedures). I have also decided I want a tummy tuck since I'm being cut anyway. I go for my TT consult on Monday. I'm excited but scared I don't really want to be under for 3 or more hours. Does anyone know how long it could take for both procedures? I have quit smoking because I know this is a big "no no" for those going into surgery. Praying I don't start back after surgery. I'm really glad I found this site it is very imformative and I love reading about everyones experience.

Re: TAH and TT

I do not know how long for a TT, but my TAH BSO took about 1 and 1/2 hours. I had no complications.
