Tummy Pillow

[quote=brneyez;3646935]I received a pee wee lady bug for Christmas from my wonderful mother in law that I will be taking to the castle on January 5th. She wanted me to have something cute and cuddly to wake up too. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.[/QUOTE

BRNEYEZ - I was holding my pillow pet in the pre-op area & after being wheeled into the surgery room where I was being transitioned from gurney to surgery table I asked about my pet & my awesome Dr said I cld keep her (Zoe) with me. The next thing I know the anesthesiologist told me he was going to put me to sleep. When I woke up in recovery I still had Zoe snuggled on my tummy. So so happy I bought her. She has been with me 24/7.

Re: Tummy Pillow

i had daVinci and did get a pillow pet- a dog! I named him spot. He came in handy for coughing sneezing sitting up and riding in cars (keeps the seat belt off of your stomach which is still tender even without abdominal scar. It also became my cuddle and hug when no one was around. Spot sleeps with me now and is very soft and comfortable.

Re: Tummy Pillow

I had a frog pillow pet I used after my DvH. He was awesome! I liked the little bit of weight on my belly and the fact he protected it from the dogs!

Just watch out on the first day! I fell asleep with my face right next to his. When my husband woke me up, I saw a green face and it scared the crap out of me!!!! I jumped which doesn't feel great just after surgery! Plus the big laugh I had at my own expense didn't help with the soreness!!

Good luck to all you ladies waiting! I hope your surgery goes as well as mine did! I'm 4 months out and forget I've had the surgery most of the time!!
