Pain in my left side...Help!!!

I had my hysterectomy on July 25th of this year via the DaVinci and still have both of my ovaries. I have had a dull pain on my left side and have been unable to have regular BMs since. I went back to my doctor and he decided to go in and see if there were any adhesions that might be restricting anything on October 31st. He found lots of ahesions, my ovaries were sticking to my intestines, and my intestines on my left side were sticking to my abdominal wall. I am still having the pain on my left side and unable to have a regular BM. Every 3-4 days I have an extreme pain then I have several BMs and finally end up with diahrrea and more pain afterwords. So he put me on MiraLax once a day everyday until I see him again. And while I was there last time he gave me a lidocaine shot in my left side to see if the pain was in my abdominal wall, it wasn't. The next day I ended up in the ER in extreme pain and after a CT they found a 2cm cyst on my left ovary and an appointment to see a general surgeon to have a colonoscopy. I went to see the general surgeon and he scheduled the colonoscopy and told me to take the MiraLax twice a day. Laxatives twice a day and leaving the house is not a good combo and I work. I had an "accident" and had to change on Friday so I decided that once a day is all I can stand. I have had the feeling all week that there was something spiky sticking me in the left side. Last night when I was putting on my pjs I felt a lump on my left side it is a little bigger than a golfball and I hadn't noticed it before. It hurts to bend over and I have a heavy feeling on my left side. I am kind of worried about it and don't know if that is just the cyst or what. I can not feel it when I am laying down and it doesn't hurt when you push on it. I have my colonoscopy on January 3rd and then I go see the doctor that did my hysterectomy and that has been trying to figure out my pain on January 11th. Should I wait until then or call him in the morning?? Or am I just feeling something that should be there and I am being paranoid??

Please call him asap! Any lumps should be investigated promptly. Please get back to us with what you find out.

Re: Pain in my left side...Help!!!

I called my doctor and he wanted me to come in. I had an ultrasound and they did not see the lump. But when I saw him he felt the lump and didn't know what it was. He said to keep my colonoscopy appointment and then see him afterwards. He also gave me more pain meds. So I guess it is a waiting game until after January. If I take the pain meds I can't really work because I am not focused and I make mistakes. So I guess I will stay in pain during the day and suffer through work. Yea me
