Re: Help: uncontrollable anxiety pre-op!

I am currently in the hospital relaxing after my Hyster.... And you can do it!!!! I was terrified too this being my first surgery. Im so glad I did it. Doc just told my fibroids was the size of a cantaloupe!!!! A little over 2 lbs... Use this website A LOT. It helped me get through this ordeal. Good luck and talk out your feelings here. It really helps.

Re: Help: uncontrollable anxiety pre-op!

I feel the same way! My surgery is on Friday too. I just went to a memorial service on Monday and between that, starting a new job and the surgery I am a total basket case! My sleep is all messed up. I'm scared. I'm not packed, I haven't finished Christmas shopping, my house is a mess, my laundry isn't done, etc....
My poor hubby. He hears it all the time, lol. He's great. He keeps reminding me, he can shop, do laundry, help me pack for the hospital, that I am not alone. It is just so overwhelming. My pre-op is in the morning, so I hope that will help ease some of my fears.
