HRT question

My LAVH/BSO was on 10/25. I have been taking the vivelle dot (.0375) for 4-5 weeks. It really seems to be helping with the minor hot flashes that I was having right after surgery. My problem is that I have had two spells, one about 2 weeks after starting the med and another one last night, where I just all of a sudden become very edgy/anxious, feel very emotional and sometimes also have hot flashes and/or cold clammy spells. Last night I would wake up about every 30 minutes with a hot flash followed by shaking from being so cold. The rest of the time I feel fine and have no hot flashes or emotional issues. Is this a sign my hormones are still not under control?

Re: HRT question

It sounds like it. I would give your Dr. a call and inform them that you are now suffering night sweats and anxiety. They may need to adjust your dosage.

Re: HRT question

That certainly is what it sounds like. It can take awhile for you and your to get to the right amount of hormones. It is unfortunately kind of a trial and error process. It took quite awhile for my doctor to get me leveled out, but you will know it when it happens. I have NO symptoms at all--physically or emotionally.

to you. I hope your doc can find the right level for you soon and you can go back to feeling great!!!
