19 days post op, and still having potty issues! Errrr

Sorry to be gross, but I'm 19 days post op. I had some constipation in the beginning, which I used Milk of Magnesia for, and I thought everything was running smoothly, but now I'm blocked up again. Ive been off narcotics for 2 weeks. Anyone else experiencing this?
Also, I have tenderness in my abdomen when I urinate. Am I the only one?

Hi,
No you are not alone. I had my surgery on 18 Nov and today I had the worst pain which left me holding my breath and hoping I would have a bowel movement. I thought I was having labour pains. Finally after passing out from exhaustion I finally woke 3 hours later and was able to empty my bowels. The things I take should make a person go immediately but with me having chronic constipation is normal however laxitives usually work when they are suppose to. It felt like glass moving along inside me. It actually feels uncomfortable when I am sitting for the past few days. Up until the second week it hurt when I had to empty my bladder but that went away but my lower tummy area still feels sore. I think it is due to the extra hard stool. My other issue is my butt cheeks feel sore and like I over exercised my butt. This hasn't gone away since the surgery. I am afraid to do any exercise and I always exercised. I made the mistake of allowing my guy to caress my body because I was afraid my female parts wouldn't work and I had a surge of hormones taking over. Needless to say we weren't intimate because we aren't that crazy however he decided to lay his big body on top of mine and then I told him, "don't you remember that not even a cat or dog should me on my belly". We don't live together and my boyfriend invited me to go away with him while he is on course but I said know. Some times it is just better to be alone and heal. Now I know things seem to ok so far in that department now I just want to be left alone. I think it is hard for your partner to remember that you just had surgery when the stitches are internal. He has been pretty good but I need to heal properly and so far my energy level has been practically non existent. I ended up being anemic as well and now I pray that my body will heal without any issues.

Yes I was having issues have BM's after 15 to 20 days after. They were very hard and it hurt but I have started eating probiotics (activia yogurt) and oatmeal. That has helped in stimulating my lower tract and now I am regular again. Drink lots of water too and try to stay away from pain pills as those will make the BM's painful and difficult. Hope this helps some
