Yellow discharge

I am nearly 5 weeks post op TAH. Doing really well. While I was in hospital I was told I had thrush. I have since taken three lots of antibiotics for different Infections. I still have a yellowy discharge not bothersome but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It does not have any odour and am not running fever. Can thrush be a yellowy colour.

Re: Yellow discharge

Antibiotics can cause thrush or yeast infections. Is yours in the mouth or vaginal area? I had a little bit of a vaginal yeast infection before surgery due to taking prednisone daily but after surgery within a week I developed a real rip roaring one with burning and itching. No doubt it's from the high dose of antibiotics and steroids they gave me during surgery. My doctor put me on Diflucan and metrogel to clear it up. I'm still not over it yet. If it's not cleared in another week I'll probably get the refill on the Diflucan. I'm eating yogurt everyday and taking Femdophilus probiotic at night to help colonize the good bacteria and ward off the yeast. Maybe ask your dr. about it. Good luck.
