Bleeding with sex?

I don't post much and I'm not on the boards hardly ever because my recovery since my surgery in February has been pretty quiet - Thank God since very few things in my life medically speaking are quiet. Anyway, lately I've started bleeding after intercourse but I don't have a cervix or anything left - only my ovaries. To make matters more complicated, I had to pay out of pocket for my surgery because despite my OB/GYN and the heads of OB/GYN of TWO DIFFERENT HOSPITALS stating that my surgery was medically necessary my insurance refused to pay for it. So until I pay off the $12,000 my OB/GYN won't treat me again so I can't ask him and didn't know where else to go except you ladies. So any help or advice you can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Bleeding with sex?

Hello!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing bleeding after intercourse. There could be any number of reasons for this to be happening, so it's important that you get an appointment with a doctor to determine the cause. If you can't go to your gynecologist, go instead to your family doctor.

Let us know what you find out, okay?

Re: Bleeding with sex?

April Dawn,

Thanks for the advice!

Funny thing is that I just saw my PCP yesterday. :-) lol But I'll call her again this morning and ask what she thinks.

Seriously, thanks again though. I didn't even think to ask her. I'll be sure to let y'all know what's going on.
