The waiting game sucks!

After bleeding for 3.5 weeks, I have finally stopped. I am so frustrated because I just want this over with. Having no sex life, spending tons of money in pads and ruining clothing due to heavy bleeding, it just gets to you, which I know you all know.

I am only 1 months down on the 2-6 month waiting list. I was told it was 2-6 months but on average 2-3 months.

On top of everything else I am week, disoriented, and shaky. I've had my blood tested and everything (aside from the whacked out hormones) is fine. So I am just sticking to my normal iron dose.

I'm sorry to vent I am just so sick of this, and I just want to cry. When I first found out about my surgery I was freaked. Now I have accepted it all, but I still have no date.

Plus side 10lbs down! If anything this has really pushed me to lose weight (was 220lbs now 210lbs).

Re: The waiting game sucks!

I waited 3 1/2 months for my surgery so I understand. I nearly went mad with anxiety and fear. My partner did everything he could to try and distract me. I understand how frustrating and difficult this is for you. Mostly I was fearful of all the bad things I would thought would happen to me (how would the scar look, would I ever have an orgasm again? Would sex be painful afterwards still? etc, etc.) All the things I feared never came to past - everything turned out to be better than before. But you never know that until after the surgery. Be kind to yourself, do whatever helps take your mind off things as often as you can. And just try to be positive whenever the anxiety wells up.

Re: The waiting game sucks!

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've been doing great with the anxiety part, mostly because I live with anxiety issues all my life. As my husband would say, I stress over the little things.

Thanks for replying, the support and positive words.
Hugs right back.

Re: The waiting game sucks!

I know the waiting game is hard - especially when you do not have a firm date. It is easier said than done, but I like the other sister's suggestion of trying to focus on something else.
Good luck, and I hope you get word soon...
