Re: scared doesnt even begin to cover it

Smoothhooch and Susan C,
You have no idea how terrified I was when they had me put on my gown and get the IV in... my TVH was 12-16,I just told them I was scared and my expeirence was awesome just likeMir51. The unknown is the worst part I think for me, but I don't remember any of it and woke up on the other side and it was a relief. I did not sleep at all the night before, this is natural from what I have been reading, I am a natural worry wart and am not a pillar of strength at all, so Lord if I can get thru this, YOU gals certainly can and will, and your outcome will be great, a big pat on the shoulder from me to all you gals!! Thinking of you (: You are NOT alone!!

Re: scared doesnt even begin to cover it

OMG, I can *so* relate to the white pants thing!! Thank you for the chuckle - I needed that!! I actually said to my doc "I haven't worn khaki pants in about 5 years" - because of the bleeding, heavy, unexpected, non-stop, etc etc. My panties, too, are all stained (sorry if TMI), and I had about given up on ever buying nice underwear again - but your comments made me realize that I'm not alone with these weird, private things - oh another one, I've only purchased dark-blue denim jeans for years, not stone-washed for the same "oops" reason. We live in AZ, have a pool, haven't been swimming 4-5 summers :O(

Re: scared doesnt even begin to cover it

On December 31 I went through my undies drawer and threw out all my period panties. Now all the ones in there are pretty and frilly. I also threw out the package of birth control I was in the middle of when I had my surgery. It was kind of hard for me to do mentally, since I never had problems with my period and I miss it now. But I thought it was a good way to start the New Year!

I can't wait to do that. I'm thinking new wardrobe all together. Mainly because who doesn't benefit from a little retail therapy right? Hopefully it will help I go see my normal family dr tomorrow about something for my crazy emotions. So the 2 together should help.

Re: scared doesnt even begin to cover it

I was planning new wardrobe too... but 6 months out my belly is still so swollen I ended up only buying elastic waist grandma pants 2 sizes larger than usual. That was not fun retail therapy...

And then there was xanex. I'm doing better today. Talked with Dr again got more reassuring about doing the right thing. Then she gave me xanex. I don't think I could freak out if I wanted to right now.
