This is my first time back in the forums since my surgery on Friday the 16th. Things didn't go as planned, and I ended up having to have a bikini incision with the removal of one ovary. I had tremendous pain the day of surgery, but the nursing staff, and my doctor were very helpful. I had the pump the first day and a half, then they switched me from IV to oral pain relievers. By Saturday afternoon, I was up, walking, and able to take a shower. Had some trouble eating.. NOTHING tasted good. On Saturday, they put me on a full liquid diet, and vanilla icecream was my choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sunday I was able to pass gas, and they sent me home. I am doing great! I am resting well, and my family has been great.

I still have swelly belly, and now I am starting to itch like crazy. Any advice on what to use to help the healing itchy belly?!

Hope everyone else is resting and healing well!

Re: Recoverying

Glad you are up to posting-glad to see you! Sorry you got cut, but glad your nurses were helpful. No advice on the itching, my five small incisions have moments of intense itching also. Rest, rest, rest.
