Wow - getting more stressed (kids mentioned)

T minus 6 days and counting. I feel like Charlie Brown when he falls flat on his back after Lucy's pulled the football out from under him!!! AAARRRGGHHHH!!!

Getting Christmas together, preparing stuff at work for my leave, the list of Things To Do seems to be growing instead of shrinking (clean, last minute shopping, making and wrapping presents, preparing meals for x-mas and for after surgery, laundry, get everything put away, etc.). And my 21 year old son comes homes and not so politely informs me that I am going to be a grandmother again with a second baby momma (I still haven't met the first one and he's 2). Can I just shoot somebody, please??? (Not fatally, just a good shot in the *** to get his head out of it).

Sorry, just needed to vent a little. Feel like I'm falling off a cliff, and I know things will get better, it's just going to take some time............

Re: Wow - getting more stressed (Children/Grandchildren Mentioned)

Oh man that's a big load to carry. I can relate to some extent. My Daughter has decided that she's not ready to be a mom and is waiting in the wings to leave her 5 week old baby with me once I am two weeks post op. Some how they just don't understand I wont be ready.

So for now I have just had to drop every one else' s baggage so I can carry my own with out losing my mind.

Hang in there and know there are sisters here supporting you.

Re: Wow - getting more stressed

I am sorry both of you are dealing with all of these outside issues! They are not helpful as you prepare mentally and emotionally for surgery.

Missourigal- If you need to, pare your list down to what is absolutely necessary and leave the rest. What gets done gets done, and what does not does not.

Kayla - No, you will not be ready to deal with any body's baby when you are just two weeks post op. Your healing is the most important thing here. Your daughter will just have to deal with being a mom.

Hugs to you both!!
