Re: help with my emotional state

Great! Glad you got some! I actually was surprised by how much it helped. Take it easy and you will be able to sleep better with the mucus slowing down, less coughing. Prop up with some pillows in bed and have some cough drops available. I like Ricola honey and lemon...

Re: help with my emotional state

I had my hysterectomy back on April 02, 2009. I had been loosing my grip on reality for a number of years, but I believe I a, at rock bottom. The depression has completely overtaken my life now. This was the first Christmas alone since my mom died (I have no relatives left) and I am on Cipralex and Estrace, How does one find hope and the reason to go on? How do we handle the non-existent self-esteem and the tremendous weight gain? Why do I cry every day at the drop of hat? How do my Hystersisters cope ?

If the meds that your doctor has you on aren't working, please go back and talk to your doctor. If he or she can't help or won't help, find a different doctor. You are a worthy person and you deserve the best that life has to offer. Sometimes, it is hard to to find the silver lining but with support and help, it is there. I don't know if this would help, but sometimes, when one feel useful, it helps to get over the rough times. Have you thought of volunteering for some cause? There are many out there such as cancer societies, homeless shelters, diabetes associations, meals-on-wheels to name a few. I am sending you hugs in the hopes it makes you feel a tad better.

Re: help with my emotional state

guardian angel- I am sorry about your mother. My mom died of cancer in 2009 and it took me quite a while to get over my sadness. I did find comfort in my church. Do you work? I started working parttime for my church and it has brought me comfort & worthiness.I am wondering if you have had your dr check your hormone levels? Maybe an adjustment of medicine is needed. I also find that adivan works wonders for my mental state. Hang in there and keep in contact.
