pain in left side when sitting up or standing up

Very frustrated with the burning pain in my left side when I try to sit up and/or stand up. It's been one week since surgery and I am trying to stay off pain meds now!!

Not sure what to do about this darn pain in my side......hard to get comfortable at night to sleep too!

Any ideas??

Re: pain in left side when sitting up or standing up

I am on week 2, and I still get the back/ pelvic pains... I take ambien to sleep, and I still wake up hurting some nights... Try Tylenol PM or something like that... It is very aggravating bc it's more of a nagging pain not really a hurt... Good Luck

Re: pain in left side when sitting up or standing up

I will try the Tylenol PM!!! I know that rest and sleep will help a ton, so a night of restful sleep would be fabulous!!

Thank you!!

Re: pain in left side when sitting up or standing up

I know that my Dr said my left side and incision would hurt more because that is where my uterus was removed. I seem to have a pulling or pinching pain on that side.
