Undissolved Stitch 9 months post-op

So here we are 9 months and many doctors visits later. When I had my hysterectomy I had a bladder mesh sling put in as well. Aside from not being able to hold it for very long, I am in constant pain. It feels as though it's too tight. In addition to that I have an undissolved stitch that causes my husband and me a lot of pain during intercourse. I went to my doctor at 3 months and he said to give it until 6 months and if it didn't dissolve he would give me a cream. I wanted him to clip it. So then at 9 months it still remains. My doctor gave me some cream called Estrese that didn't do anything but cause me severe abdominal cramping, and he told me it was to far under the skin's surface to clip it now and I know that's not true because it's easily felt and it's up about 2 inches on the front wall. I am at my wicks end and I have no idea where to turn. I feel as though my doctor isn't listening to me and is underestimating the pain it's causing me. I don't know whether I should find another doctor. What can I do? PLEASE HELP ME.

I am so sorry you are still experiencing difficulties at this stage of your recovery. I would suggest you go to your primary care physician and have him or her suggest another gynecologist. Please keep us up to date on how you are doing.
