emergency same day surgery

I had my surgery almost 2 weeks ago. I had a severe post-op hemorrhage from the rectocele repair. I had emergency surgery that same night. My blood count was as low as 7. I still have very little energy. And my belly still hurts in the mornings especially. How long will it take before I will feel normal again? Or at least not so tired?

Re: emergency same day surgery

I had a TAH 4 3/4 weeks ago. I have only just started to feel up to activity. I still wake to pain in the morning though. I cannot take ibuprofen, so still have to take a pain pill when I get out of bed some days. I was able to stop naps about a week ago, which helped with nights. I have a genetic blood clotting issue, so I can only guess that has had something to do with recovery.

Re: emergency same day surgery

Thank you for your reply. My Dr. Is concerned also about a blood clotting disorder. I haven't been checked for that yet. I am very sad about the extensive recovery period. I am able to take ibuprofen. I am waiting for that tokick in. Thanks again for your encouragement. I really want to get back to work.
